Standard TefTEC Series PTFE Membrane Filter Cartridges
TefTEC™ filter cartridges are high-performance PTFE membrane filters designed for demanding industrial and sanitary filtration applications involving aggressive chemicals, gases, solvents, and vent filtration. Built with hydrophobic PTFE membrane media, the TefTEC product line offers excellent chemical compatibility, high flow rates, and reliable particle and microbial retention in challenging environments.
The TefTEC family includes three distinct options—Standard TefTEC, TefTEC V, and TefTEC P—allowing users to select the right level of validation, sterilizing capability, and manufacturing controls for their process.
Standard TefTEC Filters
The standard TefTEC filter cartridge uses the same PTFE membrane media and core construction as the validated versions, but it is designed primarily for industrial filtration applications rather than validated sterilization processes.
Key characteristics:
- Hydrophobic PTFE membrane for excellent chemical resistance
- Ideal for aggressive chemicals, solvents, gases, and tank vent filtration
- High flow rates with strong particle removal efficiency
- Cost-effective solution for industrial filtration environments
- Not supplied with the same level of validation documentation, integrity testing, or cleanroom processing
Because of these differences, the standard TefTEC cartridge is generally not recommended for validated sterilizing-grade applications, even though it uses the same core membrane material.
Best suited for:
- Chemical processing
- Solvent filtration
- Tank vent filtration
- Compressed gas filtration
- Harsh industrial environments
Choosing the Right TefTEC Filter
| Filter Type | Validation Level | Typical Use |
| Standard TefTEC | Industrial grade | Chemicals, solvents, gases, tank vents |
| TefTEC V | Economical sterilizing-grade | Processes requiring microbial retention documentation |
| TefTEC P | Pharmaceutical sterilizing-grade | Critical sterile filtration applications |
Why Choose TefTEC PTFE Filters?
- Excellent chemical compatibility for aggressive media
- Hydrophobic PTFE membrane ideal for gas and vent filtration
- Multiple validation levels to match industrial, validated, or pharmaceutical processes
- Reliable absolute-rated filtration performance
If you're selecting a PTFE membrane filter cartridge for chemical processing, sterile gas filtration, or tank vent protection, the TefTEC series offers flexible solutions ranging from industrial chemical filtration to fully validated pharmaceutical sterilizing-grade filtration.
